Using modern connectivity and deep learning technologies, Bat&Cat is reinventing the hearing aid as a modern wearable, enabling hearing-impaired individuals to have comfortable conversations in noisy places.

In parallel we are also designing research instruments for other scientists to develop novel hearing aid processing technology (Portable Hearing Laboratory, or PHL).

 Who we are

We are a group of individuals responsible for two largest technological and commercial successes in the hearing aid industry in the last 20 years:
  • First software-based digital hearing aid
  • First open-cannal hearing aid (40% market share within a year of launch)
We have also developed Speech Intelligibility Index Standard (SII), and later led the working group that standardized it as ANSI S3.5.  BatAndCat SoundLabs  supports and maintains the Standard Working Group's web site which can be found here.
